Local Suppliers

As a small local boutique, we pride ourselves on being able to sell items produced or crafted by our local artists, designers and manufacturers. We are unable to add all these incredible products to our online store, so it's definitely worth a visit to see what we have in our beautiful store. To celebrate our wonderful suppliers, we wanted to share a little bit about them and offer a small selection of their items online for you.

Cauldron Creations

Hi, I'm Helen from Cauldron Creations.

I've always been creative but redundancy gave me the chance to take what was a side hustle to a full-time job.

I have a passion for colour, the natural world and the rhythm of the seasons. My creations allow me to express these passions as well as my spiritual beliefs. I love just being inspired by what I see out of my window in my garden or working with customers to bring their ideas to life.

As well as a selling at La Luna Boutique, you can find me at live events.

Customqueenie Designs

Hiya, I’m Nicky from Customqueenie Designs!

Customqueenie Designs started as a dressmaking tutoring business that I ran alongside being a secondary D&T teacher & then primary supply teacher.  When Covid hit Customqueenie Designs developed as I started making custom made facemasks, stretchy turban headbands & crochet rainbows. The crochet rainbows almost became like a chain of correspondence between family members & friends.

Since then, as well as the La Luna & Customqueenie brand, I have developed my own range, including Velvet Kimonos, Cashmelon Coatigans, purses, wired headband, stretchy turban headbands, crochet berets and shawls, & most recently Kantha Kimonos.

I have always had a passion for dressmaking, since being taught by my Mum when I was a child.  I have an acute passion for repurposing and recycling textiles, especially vintage fabrics. I love creating items that people will treasure & love, feeling unique and individualistic, but also themselves.

Hannah Faraway

Hannah Faraway Art is a budding, local art business.

I currently have a focus on printmaking and painting with an overall theme of the botanical and organic in my designs which fits with my eco-friendly ethos. My lino prints are hand-printed onto sustainable lokta paper, sealed with compostable sleeves and stickers and often adorned with gold ink detail and my acrylic paintings are composed on raw canvas boards to emphasise a raw, earthy feel.

My work fits between the sizes A6 and A4 so is affordable and easily transportable; making it perfect for gifts and displaying and selling on the go at fayres. All works are perfect to display in the home, they particularly look great in glass handing frames which I also sell on my stalls.

I also have begun selling lino-printed bookmarks onto recycled card, trinket boxes, jars and notebooks.

Pickle & Squish

Hello, I'm Amy from Pickle and Squish!

I am continuously inspired to be creative by nature throughout every season. Pickle and Squish started with specialising in handmade jewellery using resin & hand pressed wildflowers from my garden in Leigh on Sea. This has expanded into a variety of original handmade homeware, each with a unique and specifically chosen set of flowers to preserve the beauty of local nature forever.

Thank you for taking a look at my items in the gorgeous La Luna Boutique!

Mrs Mosaic

I’m Nicola Upton, a mosaic artist based in Leigh-on-Sea; I call myself Mrs Mosaic! I work in a snug log cabin studio at the end of my garden, where I also deliver one-off workshops and classes in mosaics and stained glass.

I find joy in making bright and colourful contemporary mosaics for the home and garden, whilst juggling fusing glass in my tiny kiln to make pretty jewellery fused glass pendants. I love melting glass in my tiny little porcelain kiln, the fused glass pendants I produce are all hand cut with tiny inclusions, sometimes gold leaf, fine mica powders, tiny copper or kiln paper cuts outs like butterflies and stars then get ‘sandwiched’ between the bottom-coloured layer and sealed with a glass top. Once cooled these then get cut into smaller pieces and fired again so the edges are softened and a suitable size for the pendant.

As I don’t have a thermometer to measure the temperature; I use my instinct and years of experience to capture just the right moment when the glass is melting in its liquid state and then rapidly cool it so it solidifies. Part of the fun for me is opening the kiln the day after a firing. I then choose my favourites, drill holes through them and use silver fixings with either silver (925) or leather thongs with lobster clasps to complete the necklaces.

Sally Elaine Creations

My Eco hangings have evolved over the last four years. They are hand-dyed recycled cotton, decorated with shells, driftwood, fishermen’s rope, and recycled beads.

I beach comb the Essex coast, mainly around Leigh on sea.  The colours are inspired by Leigh Estuary’s ever changing seascapes, and our wonderful sunrises and sunsets.

Every one is unique, they brighten up your home and garden, look lovely hanging on a tree, and as a back drop for those special occasions: weddings, festivals, spiritual gatherings, spring celebrations, Easter, and Christmas.

I now make scented hangings, with a hand-made porous clay bead in the design which absorbs essential oils to fragrance your room.

I hope you enjoy the hangings as much as I love making them.
